As a degree completion program, the Fortis healthcare management program is thoughtfully designed for people who have completed a diploma program in a healthcare field such as Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding, and also have gained practical experience working in the field. Successful completion of an allied health diploma program is required for admission.
Comprised of courses in business and healthcare management as well as general education, the healthcare management program also includes content on management, accounting, finance, organizational behavior and human resource management. Additional instruction in critical thinking and problem-solving skills is designed to enhance the students' self and social awareness and strategies for managing self in a social, work environment.
